PAY COMMISSION - FOCUS ON POSTAL ANOMALIES

PAY COMMISSION – ANOMALIES IN POSTAL

Dear Comrades,

The Committee set up by the Secretary Department of Posts to look into the issues arising out of Pay Commission's Report headed by the DDG [Estt] has invited the Staff Side for discussion on 4.4.2008. We would like to request the Committee to treat this as a preliminary discussion to enable us to come again with  our concrete proposals. Any way Comrades are requested to send in their feed back if any to the Federation and respective CHQs through email or comments to blog or through SMS etc.

Comrade, I hereby submit that the Sixth Pay Commission's recommendations on the pay structure of Group D & C are very low comparing to that of Group B & A. The minimum need base is torpedoed. The ratio between the lowest and the highest is against all norms. Comrade, Our union should take a decision to withdraw all 'System Administrators' who are assigned with responsibilty of advanced computer technology. Why we work beyond duty hours, attending to rectify faults at midnight and odd hours, using own vehicles for departmental purposes? It is purposeful cheating. Comrade, while negotiating with the pay commission, the following may also be suggested.

1. The scale should be a span of 10 to 15 years.
2. A minimum of 5 % increase of basic pay should be allowed as increment.
3. Separate scales for Time Scale, LSG/TBOP, HSG II/BCR and HSG I should be allowed.
4. CCA should be restored and revised accordingly. Revised rate of Transportation Allowances is welcomed.
5. The decrease in Commutation value should be cancelled and revised as per 5th CPC.
6. For System Administators, either enhancement of pay & allowances should be allowed or additional increments should be awarded.
7. The arrears of P & A should be allowed and drawn with effect from 01-01-2006.
8. Supervisory Allowances should be paid for all supervisory staff.

Comrade, we know that the govt. will not approve all our suggestions. We have to fight. Let us join together for the battle.
With warm greetings,
D. Sathyaseelan,

PA/SA PAY SCALE[4000-100-6000] IS MERGED WITH GROUP-D PAY SCALE AND KEPT IN PAY BAND-1 WHICH IS INJUSTICE TO A CLERK. PA/SA SCALE SHOULD BE MERGED IN PAY-BAND-2 WITH LESS GRADE PAY THAN GIVEN TO SUPERVISORS.

I do agree with the opinion of Mr. Abdul. Com Raghavendra is participating in the Circle Conf. of Kerala Circle at Kasargod. We would like to discuss in detail about the recommendations of VI CPC. We have to welcome putting Group D officials in PB-1. The PAs/SAs should also be put in PB-2 with grade Pay of Rs 4200. Subsequently the grade of LSG, BCR/HSG-II & HSG-I should be enhanced by 4600, 4800 & 5400 resp My request is that after getting the suggestion from the branches all over India, the sum and substance should be published in our site.
With regards.
