DA 7% IN THE OLD FORMULA GRANTED FOR GDS FROM 1.7.2008
As Nataraja Murthi Committee is yet to submit the Report on GDS the DA from 1.7.2008 is now sanctioned on the basis of the old formula to three lakhs of GDS Employees. It will be 7% of the old formula. The Department of Posts has issued orders today granting 7% DA to GDS.
BONUS CEILING ORDER WILL BE ENDORSED BY DEPARTMENT OF POSTS ON MONDAY
Bonus Ceiling has been revised and an order enhancing the ceiling from 2500/= to 3500/= for Postal Employees and also for alll CG Employees w.e.f. 1.4.2006 is released by the Ministry of Finance today evening . Accordingly the endorsement orders of the Department is likely to be issued on Monday.
DEMONSTRATION PROGRAMME ON MONDAY CANCELLED
In this background the Demonstration Call given by the NFPE - FNPO Federations as well as by the Confederation stands cancelled.

why some convey congratulations,thisis shame .Because of here the G.D.S staff were suffering with lots of hopes on their P.R.C but the chairman of G.D.S commette nata raja murthy deayed always why?
This is greater failure of the trde union this is 100%wright.
Dear Comrade Janapati - The congratulations was for all the employees including GDS for being firm in getting the ceiling on bonus removed from last year. Take pride that we could do that because after revision of wages for GDS every one will get 3500/- or else GDS also would not get full bonus as per the ceiling. Coming to the question of GDS Committee you may know that the Report is due withing another 12 days - But in the background of 3 months delay the unions and federations organised a strike also on 20th August 2008. Therefore try to avoid blaming unions in general and concentrate on fighting if GDS Committee Report is not positive for you.
