PROCESS FOR SETTING UP OF POSTAL BANK OF INDIA IN MOTION

Department of Posts has invited REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS [RFP] for Study to design Roadmap for

Postal Bank of India

Interested Indian or Foreign Research Institutes with experience in finance and banking are asked to submit applications within 25.03.2010

Estimated cost of the Project is less than 50 lakhs rupees.

The selected Institution will be asked to design a road map for setting up of Postal Bank of India

The methodology would be to visit foreign Post Banks along with Officers of Indian Post for study - Interaction with India Post Officials and Government of India Officials - Workshops both within and outside India with select experts – and - Preparing the draft and then final road map for Postal Bank of India

The whole process up to submission of Final Road Map for setting up Postal Bank of India shall be submitted to the Department within 120 days from the day of approval of the Institution.

Dear Comrade Shweta - Greetings - Not only in Kerala Circle but generally in all departments and in all circles the bureacracy is unwilling to grant CCL liberally and in fact it was at their behest the original orders of the DOPT itself was subsequently modified to tighten the conditions for sanction of CCL - your comment is appropriate that while the Nation is on path of empowering the women, the bureacracy is against even sanctioning leave to women employees! We will take up the matter again with the Government and our efforts to remove the conditions in granting CCL shall continue - best regards
