At the Call of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and the NFPE the Circle Unions of Postal Administrative wing in Andhra and the Postal Accounts Employees Association Andhra jointly observed the International Women's Day by organising an inspiring Postal Women Employees Meet on 8.3.2010.
Comrade Pingali Jyothi Secretary Postal Women's Welfare Organisation and Comrade Hemamalini Senior Accountant DAP Office presided over the meeting. Comrade Dhana Laxmi Convenor of State Working Womens' Organisation; Smt. Anitha Mahadas Director of Postal Accounts; Smt.Sumitha Ayodhya APMG Vigilance have addressed as the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour in the meeting. Comrade Asha Sree Latha Senior Accountant DAP Office played the anchor role and effectively steered the proceedings and also delivered welcome address and vote of thanks.
Problems of women employees and the role of women to organise themselves to claim their rights got the focus in the deliberations. The initiative taken by the Circle Unions of Postal Administrative and Postal Accounts Employees of Andhra Circle is appreciated by the Headquarters of NFPE.
