Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions in its order dated 4th October 2012 published in the Gazette amending the Ex-Servicemen (Re-employed in Central Civil Services and Posts) Rules 1979 has clarified that an Ex. Servicemen means Personnel, who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for more than six months prior to the 14th April 1987. They are eligible for all the benefits of Ex-Servicemen.
