DEMONSTRATION BEFORE PARLIAMENT A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
Dear Comrades!
The Postal Joint Council of Action of NFPE and FNPO and GDS Unions have given a clarion call for holding a massive demonstration before the Parliament on 2.3.2010 when the Budget Session commences.
A detailed circular about the circumstances that forced the Postal JCA to undertake the programme and the urgent issues involved viz., the Arbitrariness of the DoP; Violations of agreements; Attack on GDS Interests; & Non-payment of revised wages to Casual labourers, Contingent and GDS Substitutes. Copy of Postal JCA Circular had been posted to all Circle Secretaries and the copy is also available in our websites. Rank and File leadership is requested to make use of the JCA Circular for effective campaign amongst the employees and also with the Media. Efforts are on to bring Honourable Members of Parliament from different Political Parties to address the Demonstration.
NFPE Calls upon the Circle Secretaries of all our affiliated unions and associations in Western Uttarpradesh; Uttarakhand; Madhyapradesh; Rajasthan; Punjab; J&K; H.P; Haryana to mobilize maximum postal workers to the Parliament March in New Delhi. They are requested to so organise their journey to reach Delhi before noon to participate in the Demonstration at 2.00 P.M on 2/3/2010. The Demonstration and March will commence at JANTAR MANTAR at 2.00 P.M and will be completed before 5.00 P.M. Representative participation from all other Circles is most welcome. Circle, Divisional and Branch Secretaries are requested to bring without fail the banners and flags of NFPE to make the programme very impressive. Comrades are requested to arrange their return journey on the same day after the programme.
HOLD DEMONSTRATIONS AND SEND LETTER TO HON'BLE MOC&IT BY SPEED POST
As per the call of the Postal JCA, while the demonstration before Parliament is conducted, similar protest demonstrations shall be organised all over India at all Circles / Regions / Divisions / Branches jointly by the unions of Postal JCA and send the letter of All India Postal JCA to Hon'ble MOC&IT by speed post from every place. Hundreds of speed posts shall be received by the Office of the MOC&IT to make a strong impression on the Ministry about the urgency of the situation. NFPE is confident that all our Circles / Divisions / Branches will take up the programme very seriously and play their due role in this Joint Programme with the FNPO organisations. A e-mail to NFPE & CHQs as a confirmation of observance of this programme is also requested.
NFPE requests all Circle Secretaries to circulate this circular to the Divisions and Branches under their jurisdiction with necessary instructions and guidance for organising the programme on 2nd March with all enthusiasm and zeal and commitment.

DEPARTMENT ORDERS RE-VERIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP ONCE AGAIN
NFPE SECRETARIAT DECIDES FOR JOINT CAMPAIGN BY CHQ LEADERS
Dear Comrades,
The Department of Posts had consulted all Federations and finalised the method and calendar of the Reverification of membership under CCS [RSA] Rules, 1993. Full text of Reverification orders under issue by the DoP will be placed in our websites as soon as the same is released by the Directorate.
NFPE Secretariat has considered the great task before the rank and file organisational leaders and decided to organise Circle level meeting of all Divisional and Branch Secretaries and Circle Union Office Bearers in which different teams under the leadership of NFPE and CHQ leaders will participate. These meetings are to take the shape as the Joint Circle Council of NFPE Unions & GDS Union. Full list of CHQ leaders attending different Circles is enclosed.
The Circle Co-ordinating Committee of NFPE Unions & GDS shall sit and plan collectively for the effective holding of the Joint Circle Council Meetings. We also request the Circle leaders to take this opportunity to form such Circle level co-ordinating bodies if not formed so far as per the decision of the NFPE Federal Executive. The major agenda and task before us in the planned Joint Circle Council meetings is to plan for improving our performance in the Reverification and the organisational measures to be taken for emerging stronger this time in all circles uniformly.
NFPE seeks the cooperation of all Circle and Divisional and Branch Secretaries in this huge task and requests to sink their differences if any and work together with each other for infusing deeper commitment in the hearts of the employees towards National Federation of Postal Employees and its affiliated Unions / Associations and All India Postal Extra Departmental Employees Union. We also request circulation of this Circular to Divisional and Branch Unions by the Circle Secretaries in their respective Circles.
