ONE GDS COMRADE DIED IN ACCIDENT AFTER ATTENDING JCA DHARNA IN ASSAM CIRCLE

NFPE EXPRESSES DEEP CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND COMRADES OF DEPARTED GDS COMRADE MAHESWAR DOIMARY BPM.

Com Maheswar Doimary, BPM, Shilikhabari BO under Thelamara SO of Darrang Postal Division in Assam Circle, while returning home after participating Day Long Postal JCA Dharna Programme at Tezpur was knocked down by a speeding Army Truck at Thelamara Tiniali yesterday i.e. on 15-09-2009.

Comrade Maheswar Doimary died on the spot. A condolence resolution was passed in the Dharna Spot at Guwahati and a compensation package along with comassionate appointment was demanded by the Assam Circle Unions.

This is a very tragic news. Comrade Maheswar died fighting for the release of GDS Pay Commission Report and as the Postal JCA's efforts to get the GDS Pay Commission are reaching success, this Comrade has breathed his last. NFPE dips its red banner in memory of the departed GDS Comrade Maheswar Doimary and expresses its deepest condolences to the family members of Comrade Maheswar.
