NFPE SEEKS RELIEF FOR IPO/ASRM ALSO TO GO ON PROMOTION AS AAOs

CONSEQUENT ON MERGER OF ACCOUNTS OF DOP-DOT HUNDREDS OF VACANCIES OF AAOs [Gazetted] ARE OPENED UP FOR JAO WAITLISTED CANDIDATES INCLUDING IPO/ASPOs

 

NFPE THEREFORE SOUGHT THE INTERVENTION OF SECRETARY - P TO RELIEVE SUCH OF THOSE IPO/ASPOs WHO WANT TO GET PROMOTED IN AAO LINE FOR THEIR BETTER CAREER PROSPECTS - NFPE ALSO INTERACTED WITH THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF IPO/ASPOs ASSOCIATION WHEN THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF IPO/ASPOs ASSOCIATION SHRI. Sub: Request for permitting IPO/ASPOs to get the Promotion as AAOs – regarding

 

Madam,

 

This Federation is constrained to bring the following for your kind consideration to cause necessary instructions for relieving willing IPOs/ASPOs who were offered  Promotion as AAOs.

 

There are some IPOs/ASPOs who were successful in JAO examinations and were awaiting their promotion as JAOs for long time and in the meantime due to abnormal delay in availability of vacancies in the cadre of JAOs, have joined as IPOs. Now that there are large numbers of vacancies in the cadre of AAOs due to the merger of accounts of DOP & DOT and that the orders issued offering promotion in the cadre of AAOs includes some IPOs/ ASPOs, it is requested that they too be permitted to join as AAOs if any are opting to become an AAO.

 

This Federation suggests that the resultant IPO vacancies can be filled up through departmental promotional examinations or through direct recruitment as per the quota, which will thus improve the promotional opportunity of PA/SA cadre officials in the cadre of IPO. The IPOs/ASPOs who are permitted to join as AAOs would also have a better promotional opportunities in the Accounts line than IPO line in the present circumstances of availability of greater number of vacancies in AO and above due to the merger of accounts.

 

This Federation would therefore urge upon you to reconsider the stand on this issue and cause necessary instructions for the early relief of such IPO/ASPOs who are willing to opt for AAO line.
