LEFT PARLIAMENT MEMBERS RAISE GDS ISSUE IN PARLIAMENT

ALL LEFT PARLIAMENT MEMBERS RAISED THE ISSUE OF GDS COMMITTEE IMPLEMENTATION TODAY UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF COMRADE BASUDEV ACHARYA
 
NFPE MET COMRADE BASUDEV ACHARYA MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT THREE DAYS BACK AND REQUESTED HIS KIND INTERVENTION FOR GETTING THE GDS COMMITTEE IMPLEMENTED BEFORE ELECTIONS.
 
COMRADE N.N.KRISHNADAS M.P. FROM  KERALA AND CHARIMAN NFPE UNIONS OF KERALA DISCUSSED TODAY WITH HONOURABLE MOC&IT FOR EARLY IMPLEMENTATION
 
Dear Comrades! NFPE Secretary General met Comrade Basudev Acharya Senior Parliament Member and Leader of CPI[M] in Parliament last week and requested his kind intervention in the matter of implementation of GDS Report before General Elections announced. Comrade Basudev Acharya agreed to intervene in the Parliament and accordingly today under his leadership all left MPs intervened and demanded implementation of GDS Report with the modifications suggested by the Unions in this matter. NFPE thanks the efforts of Comrade Basudev Acharya on behalf of all GDS and Postal Employees.
 
Comrade N.N.Krishna Das Senior MP from Kerala and also the Chairman of the NFPE Unions of Kerala today met the Honourable Minister of Communications & IT Shri. A.Raja and demanded issue of orders on GDS Committee Report with the modifications suggested by the Unions. Honourable MOC & IT assured that action will be taken for issue of orders at the earliest. NFPE thanks the efforts of Comrade N.N.Krishna Das M.P on behalf of all Postal and GDS employees.
 
NFPE Delegation consisting of Comrades K.Ragavendran [Secretary General NFPE]; K.V.Sridharan [General Secretary P3]; and P.Rajanayagam [General Secretary Postal Accounts] met Ms.Radhika Doraiswamy Secretary Department of Posts and discussed about the implementation of GDS Committee. The Secretary told us that all the proposals of the Postal Board for implementation of GDS Committee is over and as soon as the JS&FA clears the file, the action will be urgently taken for getting the file to the cleared by the nodal Ministries for acceptance by the Cabinet. As we discussed about the problem of election code of conduct coming into play due to delay in submission, the Secretary [P] assured that there will not be any problem for implementation of GDS Committee Report with regard to code of conduct that may come into play after the first week of March only. 
 
We hope the Government would announce implementation at the earliest.
