PROTEST STRONGLY AGAINST DELAY OF GOPINATH COMMITTEE REPORT

INDEFINITE STRIKE POSTAL CHARTER – GDS IS THE FIRST DEMAND

 

GOPINATH COMMITTEE TIME EXPIRED ON 7.12.2008

 

DISCUSSIONS WITH STAFF SIDE HELD ON 18.12.2008 – MORE THAN 22 DAYS BACK

 

DEPARTMENT ASSURED EARLY SUBMISSION OF REPORT – BUT EVEN AFTER A DELAY OF NEARLY A MONTH THE COMMITTEE IS STILL CONSUMING TIME – REPORTED THAT FURTHER SITTING OF THE COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD BEFORE SUBMISSION – UNDUE DELAY IS TO BE PROTESTED BY ALL.

 

Dear Comrades! NFPE will protest the undue delay caused by the Senior Officers Committee headed by Shri.P.K.Gopinath on 13.01.2009 during the discussion between the Secretary Department of Posts and the NFPE Federation and Affiliated Unions / Associations.

 

Rank and file unions are called upon to raise a very strong protest during the campaign of Indefinite Strike at all levels against this undue delay caused by the Gopinath Committee as such delay may finally cause problems in implementation before announcements of elections by the Election Commission.

 

This undue delay is unacceptable to us –

We demand immediate submission of Report by Gopinath Committee and further discussions with the Staff Side before sending proposals to Cabinet as assured in the Department of Posts letter dated 18.12.2008 to NFPE.
