NFPE TAKES UP THE HIGHER PAY FOR DRIVERS

 
DRIVERS IN EVERY DEPARTMENT GRANTED PB-1 WITH 1900 GRADE PAY FOR DRIVERS OF ENTRY CADRE
 
DRIVERS WENT TO COURT AND A DIRECTION WAS ISSUED TO ANOMALY COMMITTEE FOR CONSIDERING THE ISSUE
 
WE TOOK UP THE ISSUE IN THE DEPARTMENTAL ANOMALY COMMITTEE AND THE DEPARTMENT DENIED IT AS AN ANOMALY BUT AGREED TO RECOMMEND PARITY WITH POSTMEN SCALE OF PAY OF GRADE PAY 2000
 
NOW WE GATHER THROUGH OUR SOURCES THAT UNDER RTI THE LOK SABHA SECRETARIAT CONFIRMED THAT THE STAFF CAR  DRIVERS AND VAN DRIVERS OF PARLIAMENT SECRETARIAT HAVE BEEN GRANTED WITH PB-1 WITH GRADE PAY 2400 AT ENTRY LEVEL - SINCE DRIVERS ARE TERMED AS COMMON CATEGORY OF STAFF AND THEREFORE THEIR PAY WILL BE SAME EVERYWHERE, THIS DISPARITY IS UNSCIENTIFIC.
 
THEREFORE THIS CAUSES A DISPARITY BETWEEN DRIVERS OF PARLIAMENT SECRETARIAT AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS INCLUDING THE RMS & MMS IN DEPARTMENT OF POSTS - NFPE HAS WRITTEN TO CONFEDERATION TO TAKE UP THIS ISSUE IN THE NEXT MEETING OF NATIONAL ANOMALY COMMITTEE MEETING ON 27.03.2010 FOR DISCUSSION WITH GOVERNMENT

Dear Comrade KKN - Greetings. I came across a material under RTI clarifying that the Staff Car Drivers and Van Drivers under Lok sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat are granted a scale of pay of 2400 GP in PB_1 as the entry grade as per the recommendations of the Parliamentary Pay committee 2009 constituted in the context of decisions of Central Government on ther recommendations of 6TH CPC - This shows clearly that in spite of 6th CPC recommending to the same Staff Car Drivers a scale of pay of Rs.1900 GP in PB_1, the same cadre in Lok Saha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat are awarded higher pay scale of 2400 GP on par with UDC - This is a clear case of anomaly and in the background of deep resentment amongst the drivers of Postal department, i request you to give most importance to this issue by taking up with the Governmene demanding pay parity with the Drivers of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat. I shall be highly thankful if early action is initiated in this regards. I am forwarding the document obtained under RTI in this regards through forwarding email separately for your infrmation and necessary action.

  1. dear comrade, congrats. I have to ask you whether you can show such an enthusiasm to make the TBOP/BCR PAs equal to LSG/HSG II status as once the department considered from 11/83 to 2003. And to de-link the granting of LSG/HSG status from the availability of posts. thanks. chandrababu accountant adur kerala

Dear Comrade Chandrababu - greetings - First let me tell you that we always take up each and every issue with enthusiasm only - We analyze from all angles and develop arguments on each issue to win the same - I could sense an element ot sarcasm in your comment that is why i reply as above - By the way the issue of TBOP = LSG; and BCR = HSG-II is pending before the Court after our Ambathur Branch Union P3 took up a legal battle and won in CAT Chennai and Madras High Court - The case is pending in Supreme Court under SLP - As we record our victory in Supreme Court also, the issue would sorted out - Any how since we have embraced MACP Scheme from 1.9.2008 and MACP is financial upgradation and not regular promotion, the question of post based promotions to LSG and HSG-II cannot be dispensed with as you desire - I hope you would understand the difference between regular promotion and financial upgradation - best regards
