DOPT ORDERS RELAXATION OF AGE LIMIT OF MENTALLY CHALLENGED / DISABLED CHILDREN FOR GRANT OF CCL TO WOMEN EMPLOYEES

DOPT RELAXES THE CONDITION OF AGE LIMIT FROM 18 YEARS TO 22 YEARS FOR CHILDREN WHO AER MENTALLY CHALLENGED / DISABLED FOR GRANT OF CHILD CARE LEAVE
TO WOMEN EMPLOYEES

40% DISABILITY IN CHILDREN AS PER THE NOTIFICATION OF MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT WOULD BE THE ELIGIBILITY FOR ALLOWING THE RELAXATION
BY SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE HANDICAP AS PER THE SPECIFICATION OF ABOVE NOTIFICATION OF MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND A CERTIFICATE OF DEPENDENCE OF THE CHILD ON THE GOVERNMENT SERVENT THE CHILD CARE LEAVE CAN BE AVAILED
HOWEVER IT HAS BEEN AGAIN EMPHASISED THAT CCL CANNOT BE CLAIMED AS A MATTER OF RIGHT AND THAT ALL OTHER CONDITIONS ALREADY NOTIFIED WOULD CONTINUE

  1. This order is welcoming one. But in many dvns the dvl heads are not sanctioning the CCL even if the female emp. are having nil balance of EL/HPL at their credit on the plea of shortage of shortage
