PLEASE PUBLISH THE DETAILS OF DEMANDS ACCEPTED BY DOP SO THAT ALL THE THREE LAKHS GDS EMPLOYEES WHO ARE VERY EAGERLY WAITING FOR THEIR HARD STRUGGLED FIGHT CAN BE ABLE TO KNOW THE RESULT OF OUR STRIKE.
Dear Comrades - The GDS issues were discussed in detail with the Senior Officers Committee by the NFPE and the GDS Union on 18.12.2008 and the approach of the Committee was positive on many issues. The report of the Committee is expected to be submitted shortly. The Postal Board will thereupon finalise the proposals for acceptance of the Cabinet but it is assured in writing that before sending to Cabinet the Staff Side would be given adequate opportunity to discuss. Before these exercises are completed no final position can emerge. That is why we called off the strike. Comrades can be rest assured that if the final picture is not satisfactory, then we would not hesitate to agitate again.
Dear Comrade Narasimha - While we can understand your feelings on this issue, you may please take into account that we should become mentally ready to lose wages for the days of strike. Expecting wages for the days of strike may not happen every time as it is a rare occurence happens under certain special situations only. Expectation of strike period as leave will blunt our capacity to agitate. Please understand this.
CONGRATULATION TO ALL COMRADES,
